Nursery 

Nursery transition starts in July. Parents and children will have a number of opportunities to come and visit nursery before their first nursery session. You will be invited to:

- a member of the nursery team will phone to discuss your child and this will be an opportunity to provide us with more information you feel we need to know about your child before they start with us. 

- an EYFS market place where you will be able to meet a member of the nursery team and collect all of the relevant paperwork. 

- a meet the teacher event where you will be able to meet the staff in nursery and see the indoor and outdoor environment your child will be learning in. 

- a one hour stay and play session in July with a parent. 

- a one hour stay and play session in September with a parent. 

Reception

Reception transition starts in July. The children will have various opportunities to get to know the reception staff and their new learning environments. 

All adults will be invited to:

- an EYFS market place where you will be able to meet a member of the reception team and collect all of the relevant paperwork. At this event, your child will also collect a toy mouse which will be used to support them with their transition. 

- a meet the teacher event where you will be able to meet the reception staff and see the indoor and outdoor learning environment your child will be learning in.

If your child already attends our nursery:

- Reception staff will visit nursery for a day to get to know the children in their nursery environment.

- They will then spend the next two days in reception during their normal nursery session.

If your child does not attend our nursery:

- your child will be invited to two sessions in July. They will be invited to either a morning or afternoon session on both days.
