Policies

School policies cover every aspect of school life. Below are some of our most important policies for your reference. If you want to know our policy on something that is not listed or require a paper copy, please ask the school office.

Safeguarding policies are saved under the 'Safeguarding and wellbeing'section of the school website.

Allergy awareness

At Riddings Infant and Nursery School, the safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. We have a number of pupils with food allergies and other medical conditions that can result in serious allergic reactions.

We ask all parents and carers to support us by being mindful of the foods brought into school. Where possible, please avoid sending products containing nuts and nut-based ingredients in packed lunches, snacks or as treats for special occasions. We also encourage children not to share food with others, as even small amounts of an allergen can cause a severe reaction.

Our staff are trained to recognise and respond to allergic reactions, and we work closely with families to ensure appropriate care plans are in place. However, preventing exposure to allergens remains the most effective way of keeping children safe.

By working together, we can create a safe, inclusive environment where all children can learn, play and thrive with confidence.

Please contact the School office on 01773 602767 if you would like a printed version of any of our School policies.
