Riddings Nursery and Infant School’s agreement:

Our organisation of school bubbles is how we intend to keep our school community safe and mitigate risk where possible.

The school will:

  • Keep children in consistent classes / year group bubbles. Some staff will move between bubbles in order to offer a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Ensure all children wash/sanitise their hands more often than usual.
  • Ensure children use different entrances and exits on the outside of the building.
  • Promote the phrase ‘Catch it, bin it, kill it’ and each class will have tissues available.
  • Talk to the children about healthy habits i.e. hand washing, sneezing and coughing into tissues, not touching their face (mouth, eyes, nose) wherever possible. We will talk to them about what social distancing means and that they need to try and keep space between them and others.
  • Arrange classrooms to facilitate social distancing where possible, whilst still being welcoming and engaging spaces for the children and knowing that within the bubbles the children will mix.
  • Ensure children will use their own resources such as pens, scissors etc – a pack will be provided by school for each child, age appropriate. Some classroom resources will continue to be shared but will be regularly cleaned.
  • Clean the classrooms and shared spaces regularly throughout the day.
  • Send home a child immediately, if they show symptoms of COVID’19 and they will need to isolate and will need a test.
